Dock Levelers
Blue Giant recessed, pit installed Dock Levelers are available in heavy-duty I-beam
(‘A’ Series) or formed box beam (‘C’ Series) deck construction. Exclusive 4” (101 mm)
maintained deck tilt prolongs deck life and prevents forklift damage. Available in fully
hydraulic operation with maintenance-free power pack or mechanical operation with
patented holddown system. Low maintenance, general purpose for loading/unloading
a wide range of trucks in heavy volume facilities. Easy to operate, quiet and smooth

Edge-of-Dock Levelers
The Mini-Dok from Blue Giant is ideally
suited for medium to high volume
loading dock traffic servicing trucks
with bed heights within 5” (127 mm)
above or below dock height or
applications where standard size trucks
are serviced. The unit is mounted on the
face of the dock wall providing a safe
and self-storing dock - eliminating the
need to handle loose and unsafe
portable dock plates. Available in both
mechanical and hydraulic models.
MODEL ‘MDX’ SPECIFICATIONS
Dock Leveler shall be Edge-of-Dock
Model
comes complete
with 2-3/4” (70 mm) maintained deck tilt as
manufactured by BLUE GIANT.
TYPE:
Mechanical edge-of-dock, hinged dock leveler
welded to foundation dock face.
FUNCTION:
Vertical Travel: Working range up to 5”
(127 mm) above and below dock level.
Automatic Vertical Compensation: Unit provides
float up to 5” (127 mm) above and below dock level.
Lip Operation: Lip automatically extends as unit is
lowered onto truck bed. Lip is returned to the
stored position upon truck’s departure. The length
of the lip extension shall not be less than 15”
(381 mm).
Hydraulic Model: Electro-hydraulic raising of the
deck is controlled from a remote mounted NEMA4
(water resistant) pushbutton control station.
MODEL ‘FHC’ SPECIFICATIONS
Dock Leveler shall be hydraulic Model

Automatic Lateral Compensation: Provides
maintained side-to-side deck tilt of up to 4”
(101 mm) to compensate for canted truck beds.
Lip Operation: Hydraulically powered lip. Lip
will yield under impact of incoming truck and
will automatically drop pendant upon truck’s
departure. The length of the lip extension
shall not be less than 16” (406 mm) from
the ramp edge.

MODEL ‘TL85’ SPECIFICATIONS
Truck restraint shall be Model TL-85 as

communications light package and driver

Electro-hydraulic operated non-impact design.
Driveway/wall mounted. Overall body
dimensions not to exceed 13”W x 27”L x

FUNCTION:
Vertical Restraining Range: From 12” to 29”
(305 mm to 737 mm) above grade.
Horizontal Restraining Range: From 0” to 12”

mounting using 6 wedge anchor bolts 5/8” dia.

force to driveway improves restraining strength by
equalizing forces on anchors. Trailer rear impact

Travel Speed: Recommended standard available
up to 25 FPM (7 mpm). Lowering speed is

XDS Series:
Extra Dock Safety
The raised safety guard protects forklifts
and personnel from the dangers of the
drop zone when the overhead door is
open and no trucks are present.
Designed to stop 10,000 lb (4,545 kg)
rolling loads up to 4 MPH (6.4 kmh). Also
acts as a pallet stop to guard door panels
and tracks from regular impact damage
when the overhead door is closed.

Blue Giant Door Seals and Truck
Shelters are designed for any door
opening. Create an airtight seal that
blocks out inclement weather, insects
and dust.
DOCK SEAL SPECIFICATIONS
Dock door seal to be Model BG0201 as
manufactured by Blue Giant.
TYPE:
Adjustable head curtain and fixed vertical
side pads to suit standard door opening 8’0”
(2,438 mm) wide x 10’0” (3,048 mm) high.
Dock seal to be manufactured to fit door
opening size(s) wide x high.
CONSTRUCTION:
Kiln-dried pressurized wood and a high
density, light weight urethane foam core with
98% compression recovery and maintaining
flexibility at -40Ί (fire retardant formula
available, please specify). The foam core
shall be continuously bonded to the wood
backing with high quality, non-flammable
elastic adhesive.
